Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson, was born in Paris France of British parents Jacqueline Luesby Watson and Chris Watson both of whom were lawyers. When she was a kid, she went to the Dragon School in Oxfordshire. Emma always had the desire to be a professional actress from the age of aged six. She attended Stagecoach Theatre Arts in Oxford, an acting institute that offers part-time classes. By the age of ten she was performing and taking part in many Stagecoach shows and school productions. In 1999 casting began in the production of Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone (2001) the movie adaptation of British writer J.K. Rowling's bestselling novel. Emma was discovered by agent through her Oxford teacher. After eight auditions consistently, director David Heyman told Emma and co-applicants Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint that they were cast to play the three leads Hermione Granger Harry Potter and Ron Weasley. Emma's screen debut took place with Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone's debut in the year 2001. It was also the film that was most popular in 2001. The opening days and weekends of sales were record-breaking. The film was praised by reviewers, and so were the performance of three starlets. The Daily Telegraph in Britain that is distributed widely and widely read, praised her performance as admirable. Emma was awarded five nominations for her outstanding performance. In the end, she received the Young Artist Award in Leading Young Actress in a Film.
