Michael Keaton (born Michael Keaton) is an American actor and has served as a director, producer as well as a producer. Keaton is best known for the film 'Birdman. He is a versatile actor who is skilled in playing comedy in addition to dramatic characters. As an actor, he has performed a range of roles in romantic scenes and appeared in action thrillers. His passion for the performing arts began in his teens. He tried stand up comedy in his early 20s. While his stand-up comedy venture did not succeed however, it served as the basis for his career as an actor. When he failed to become a popular comedian, he began working at the satellite station as a television crew member. As a television station realised he wanted to work in the front of cameras. After landing a role on TV, he starred on numerous episodes of Mister Rogers Neighborhood. The actor had natural talent and quickly became a household name in the world of television. His comedic characters brought him fame and he embarked upon a career as a filmmaker with high ambitions. The actor became more famous when he played Batman, the titular superhero in Tim Burton's Batman. In his later years, as a mature actor he also began to venture into producing and directing. His performance in Birdman in 2014's Birdman earned him several nominations and awards.
