Amal Clooney

Amal Clooney (born Amal Ramzi alamuddin) is a British/Lebanese lawyer, human rights activist, and charitable philanthropist. After graduating from Oxford University School of Law she embarked on an extensive and successful career in human rights and international law. Her clients include several prominent nation states, such as Armenia and the struggle it has to get the Turkish Government recognize the Armenian Genocide. Amal Clooney became engaged to and later married American actor George Clooney in 2014 instantly becoming a household name in popular culture. Prior to this, she was already famous and loved by legal professionals for consistently representing her clients with skill and great success. Her work spans from social justice issues and human rights to representing multinational corporations during the negotiation process or litigating cases involving the regulations of government. Since 2015, Doughty Street Chambers is located in London and she was an attorney.
